I like to try and keep up with all my friends, visiting their sites somewhat regularly and posting comments on their site. But am starting to get overwhelmed! (I've never been good at speed reading...) How do you bloggers with pages and pages of friends do it?! :)
What do you do to keep up with your friends' sites? And how will your routine change in November?!

Yay, I found it! You can turn any blog's RSS feed into a Syndication journal, to be shown on your friends' page, so if you primarily use LJ and don't want to check an online aggregator or use a news client, this is definitely one option! :D

hehe! I don't know how many people use it - tbh, I'd have so many blogs to follow anyway that putting them in a reader/online aggregator is probably easier so I can organize them! ooh, though you could use filters to do that on LJ.
Okay, babbling now! *G* have fun, however you decide to follow people!
I listen to about 70 podcasts and read about 70 blogs.
Now I am suddenly into this web 2.0 with friends stretching across two or more applications often with different names on each app! EEEK
I organise my podcasts through iTunes, my blogs through Google Reader and had to create a friends list just to keep track. I bookmark all my friends' websites/blogs so I can check what they are up to, but only subscribe to ones that hook my attention.
I subscribe to all forums so that I get email notification of changes. If I had to check through them all I would never sleep!
November I'll probably skim the most prolific blogs and delete some of the daily current affairs podcasts and I'm sure I'll post less in the forums!
Yes, I good points - I also list info about people I stalk, errr, follow closely in my address book application, like their blog address, their Twitter address etc. Even if I may not have their email. Helps me keep things straight.
Because my 'handle' is unusual and I am boring I use it almost everywhere. Leads to less confusion and I don't have to cope with a kaleidescope of personalities when I flip through various online sites.
I have met so many people on the Internet with very interesting Blogs. I kept a list of all my friends and try to check on them. Since I am chronically ill, I am limited on time. Also, I am getting ready to meet my new Grandchildren. My son and his lovely wife are having twins on Wednesday, October 31, 2007!
It is going to be a challenge keeping up in November. I am already behind and need to catch up. I love people in general and find everyone has something to offer, their opinion, talents, friendships, tips, etc.....the list goes on and on. I use bookmarks and Google Reader. I need to work on getting them in sync or just use one.
Here is a list of other communities with great people, interesting sites, discussions, etc.:
-Blog Catalog
-BUMPzee
and of course NaBloPoMo:)
I organize them through my Google Reader and iGoogle. In my Google Reader I have them separated into folders, such as Video Blogs, Local, Music Blogs, etc. On iGoogle, I read each post as they roll in on my Google Feed Reader widget. Easy as pie!
