My girls are older than probably most of yours. I have a 22 year old and an 18 year old as well as a 5 month old grand-daughter.
This was the first year in 17 years that I didn't have to plan around the first day of school. I didn't have to drive anyone to school, I slept late actually on that day.
Anyhow, I just wanted to say hi and I'm glad I found this group. :)
Welcome! You've been there, done that, so certainly you fit in!
I know a lot of people fret about empty nest syndrome, but to be honest, I'm sort of looking forward to it. ;)
I just recently bought ANOTHER alarm clock for my 16 yo son (he's gone through about 4 of them - go figure) and I STILL have to wake him up. 14 yo daughter gets up on her own because she has to look just so before she leaves for school. I don't leave for work until they are gone because I want to make sure they aren't taking things to school they shouldn't or wearing something they shouldn't. I'm so mean!

Thank you for the welcome! :)
We have one of our daughters, the youngest, still living with us and her daughter is living with us as well. So, no empty nest thing yet. Soonish though.
We put the alarm clock across the room for both of our girls, they would have to get out of bed to shut it off. One of those alarms that are really loud and annoying. *LOL*
Haha, that sounds familiar. I worked part time for years from 9-1 so I could be there when they left and when they got home.
Hope I fit in here, too. I've got five children, spread between college and the crib. So, I'm still dealing with the diapers, but I've got all the teen drama going right along with it. ;)
