NaBloPoMo

National Blog Posting Month

I saw the Ravelry group here (and happily joined) but since not everyone is on Ravelry yet so I took the liberty of making this group.

I knit & I just taught myself to crochet. I'm currently doing a scarf and a shawl, both gifts. Then I'm going to attempt my first sweater (for my 4 yr old).

Welcome to the group :)

HI,
Just joined. I didn't find out about NaBloPoMo until this afternoon, so I have no Nov. 1 post, but I figure I can finish out what's left of the month.

What am I making? Currently, I have 4 projects on the needles, though I'm working on just 3 of them. I have an Alice Starmore sweater hibernating until after Christmas.

I have a pair of socks, in shades of red. I'm doing the 'I Love Gansey' pattern from the Six Sox Knitalong.(I'm only 2 patterns behind--sigh.)

I am working on a lace hooded tunic from Vogue Summer 2007 magazine. I'm using Tatamy Tweed (Kraemer Yarns) which is a DK cotton acrylic blend in natural with bits of black and brown.

Last, but not least, I'm doing the Baby Pinwheel sweater from the Elann web sites free patterns collection. I belong to a local knitting group that knits for charity. This sweater will be for them.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Take care,
Linda Jo

Hey y'all. I just joined a few minutes ago. I am not on Ravelry yet. I hope that within the next 2 weeks :)

I do so much freeform crochet it's hard to tell what I am working on at any given moment. In my head I have a hat design. Right now I am working on a small patch of afghan stitch with stripe yarn. I guess I will just try and see where that leads me. Lots of other projects that I have finished are posted on my blog :D

I just finished a hat which I will be posting on my blog tonight. I cut up some old t shirts to make into a huge ball of yarn to knit a rug on giant needles. Starting another hat tonight too from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Love the funky hat with the flaps!

Ooh, I've been thinking of doing something similar w/ t-shirts, maybe making a rug or something.

I love the LMKG hat pattern. I just made one for my daughter. It laddered for some reason. I think it must have been the yarn b/c I've never had a a dpn project ladder on me before. She doesn't care. She loves the hat.

I'm working on a Coiff from Knit Wit now that I finally found a skein of Rowan Cork. ;)

I've made two rugs from T-shirts. They are a bit hard on the wrists but oh so worth it! Do you have a photo on your blog of your daughter's hat? I'll go look.

I just finished a baby sweater (hoodie) and some fingerless gloves, so actually I'm between projects...unbelievable as that almost never happens.
