I'm a Jefferson Parish gal who somehow, improbably, ended up living on Oahu in Hawaii. I'd love to check in regularly with all of you this month and see what's going on back home!
Arrrrgh! Wanted to comment on your blog, but it's set up for sign-in with blogger identities only. I have one, but connected to a dead blog so I don't use it. The sign-in function is editable (hint! hint!)
Just watched the LSU/Bama video and it got my blood pumping. Not a sports fan at all, but I "had" to care from the time my son was about three until he finally moved out when he was 28, lol. He lived and breathed sports in general and LSU in particular (still does.) I still have to find "something LSU" to send him for Christmas each year, and I don't think he's ever quite gotten over it that we moved away as he was graduating from high school. Mahalo for reminding me why. Gonna send him the video link, yes indeedy!
Weather here is lovely today, but we get gray, rainy days, too - just not so many. If you can't live Down South it's a pretty good second choice. ;0)

Okay...I are baboon! I think I fixed the sign-in function. Let me know if it doesn't work.
The LSU v Bama game is the biggest thing going on around here right now. The animosity toward Nick Saban is palpable. I hope, for the players, that they win tomorrow. It's only right.
NaBloPoMo crept up in the middle of Beat Bama Week on my blog, so we'll see what happens after that. I'm hoping I can keep up with the momentum. I suppose I need to start thinking of something to post about next week!
I am from North Louisiana. A very small town 1.5 hours south from Shreveport. My husband is in the oilfield and got a job building new drillships in Korea.
Like so many military folks stationed in Hawaii ... just waiting to finish the time & go home, hm.
I got transferred from Louisiana to Claifornia in '88, then to Hawaii in 94. I own a business and a home here now, and am very happily settled. That homesick blue thing catches up every now and then, though. No one here knows one should have red beans and rice on Monday. I klov ethe local music, bu the stuff they call jazz? Aint!
