so how many are natives to the bay area and how many are new?

i personally consider myself a native because i came to san francisco before the age of two. it's a bit of cheating but i might as well have been born in san francisco, right? anyway, we lived in the avenues until we moved to the mission by the daly city border. we lived there until i was six and then we moved to the westborough area of south san francisco when it was first being developed. that's where i lived until i moved to emeryville to go to cal. the idea of living in the dorms just didn't sit well with me. then i eventually moved to berkeley and then to oakland. when i was done with college i moved to newark and then to fremont, where i have been living now for almost 12 years. i guess i didn't get too far from my san francisco roots.

Okay, sometimes it's nice to go hiking in the East Bay on a warm day, but I always know it will be nice and cool at home. I love Hawaii. There was a time I got to go twice a year. I love how the state is so varied, from crowded Waikiki to barren parts of Volcanos National Park. Some day I would like to be able to spend some extended time there, exploring neighborhoods and such.; ▶ Reply to This
