i personally consider myself a native because i came to san francisco before the age of two. it's a bit of cheating but i might as well have been born in san francisco, right? anyway, we lived in the avenues until we moved to the mission by the daly city border. we lived there until i was six and then we moved to the westborough area of south san francisco when it was first being developed. that's where i lived until i moved to emeryville to go to cal. the idea of living in the dorms just didn't sit well with me. then i eventually moved to berkeley and then to oakland. when i was done with college i moved to newark and then to fremont, where i have been living now for almost 12 years. i guess i didn't get too far from my san francisco roots.
I'm a native. Born at UCSF in 1969, lived at Lombard & Leavenworth (bottom of the crooked part) for six weeks, then mostly in the Sunset ever since. One year in Berkeley, and two in the mission.

hey janice,
don't you just love the fog in the mornings? i used to be able to run around in it with just shorts and a tank top on but ever since i lived in the east bay i got spoiled by the warmer weather.
Yes, I love the fog. I think foggy days are the beautiful ones. The sun, it burns! Okay, sometimes it's nice to go hiking in the East Bay on a warm day, but I always know it will be nice and cool at home. That's the beauty of living here, I think - access to so many different places.
Hey May,
You get extra fog points for your time in Pacifica.
I love Hawaii. There was a time I got to go twice a year. I love how the state is so varied, from crowded Waikiki to barren parts of Volcanos National Park. Some day I would like to be able to spend some extended time there, exploring neighborhoods and such.
