Practicing during the holidays

Good Post-Thanksgiving Morning! I'm taking a poll. Do your children practice more or less during the holidays? My son usually gives a short concert (under duress) for his grandparents when the come on Thanksgiving day. But the rest of the weekend, it's like pulling teeth to get him to practice.
