I am hanging on tightly to the notion that I am making everyone a lap quilt for Christmas this year. I am easily delusional, though have purchased much fabric. I'm loosely using the quilt pattern in Amy Karol's Bend the Rules sewing. One down, five to go...
See? See how I count like this is still going to happen.
My sister and I blog together and she just posted about some felt angel figures that she made. I think they are really sweet and also simple to make, so they would be a breeze to steal :). Here's the link to the post- http://www.duofiberworks.com/journal/2007/11/3/the-cute-army.html . I'm looking for stocking ideas, as my 2 kids have literally had to use socks the last two years...
So far, I've come up with... I was showing my neice how to finger-knit, and decided to make all the little girls finger-knit scarves with eyelash yarns and pom-poms, they'll love that.
I also started some projects making decoupage/collage journals, recipe books, photo albumns. So easy, fast and fun, I've never done them before but they are turning out really great.
I have grand dreams of sewing up some really cool lined tote bags for my little sister who is in college and a few other people... we shall see!
I'd love more ideas though. I really want to make everyone's gifts this year - except for my husband's... he wants me to knit him a sweater, har dee har har, if I start now I could have one done by next Christmas!
