Interesting, the Bush administration will start forcing diplomats to deploy to Iraq. It seems no one wants to volunteer. Hmm? I just read the most interesting post about a man in South Africa who traveled to Iraq to save the animals in the Bagdad zoo and yet this administration is so ineffectual it cannot inspire people to volunteer as diplomats to Iraq.
I know the US Soldiers might volunteer to join the military, but they don't have a say as to where they are going. They too have to worry about their children and families if they are killed over there. I do NOT feel sorry for the "Diplomats" who are having to go there. They get paid the big bucks, so now they can earn their pay.
Great point. I agree Soldiers don't have a choice and I totally understand why. My thought is that a true leader can inspire people to do what they don't want or never thought possible. We have all kinds of good and bad examples of this throughout history. It strikes me that there is not much leadership in our government today.
I agree not much leadership in our government at all today. That is ashame.
It always surprises the ones who are elected into office, soon forget where their loyalty should be focused on. Look at our country. There are so many issues that need to be dealt with. Yet no one is really doing a thing about any of them. I think that is as you said.....no leadership.
Oh yes, and this crosses both parties. Look at just about every poll taken measuring the pulse of the voters on any topic. Then compare that to how our representatives vote! It's staggering how far apart they are from their constituents.
Yes, even Clinton, a democrat & candidate voted to support Bush's Iranian policies. Pleeease!
She said it wasn't a Carte Blanche. Is she kidding? Has she not been paying attention? He feels like he doesn't need anybody's approval or permission. She's made it way easier for him to invade Iran.
