It Takes A Village Of Parent Experts

I trace much of my parenting success to surrounding myself with a cadre of experts, parents who field my questions when I want to know where to find the best _______________ (fill in the blank .) I call my parent friends when I want to know where to find the best fencing class, guitar instructor, [...]

Filling Food Pantries: Real and Virtual

It’s a special time of year, when we think about sharing bountiful harvests (or overflowing grocery carts) with our families. It’s also a time for sharing with those who are not as fortunate.  In 2007, even before the economic downturn, 50 Percent More US Children Went Hungry in 2007 - Some 691,000 children went hungry in America [...]

Twitter Power To Feed The Hungry

Proving that Twitter Moms are a creative bunch, a few have found a way to bring their concern for the hungry into our weekly GNO, Girls Night Out. Tomorrow night we’ll be chatting about charity, service, and giving - all topics that are near and dear to my heart.  I’m especially interested to discover ways to [...]

Power To The Twitter Parents

Ad execs, beware!  Producing commercials that offend most parents, may be hazardous to your health. In one of the silliest marketing moves that I have ever witnessed, the Mom-alogue commercial, Motrin tries to convince moms that they need their product to counter pain caused by baby carriers. Any parent who has ever used a baby carrier, [...]

Have You Mastered The New Media Literacies?

The New Media Literacies Video Media literacy is an evolving concept, but never more so than now, when we are no longer passive recipients of media messages. Nowadays, we’re both consumers and producers of social media, and our children are often at the forefront of technological advances.  My Son, The Social Media Producer For example, just today, my son [...]

Using Journals To Write Your Novel

On the first day of NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, I eagerly pulled out my memory box with its treasure trove of journals that I’ve been filling since I was eleven-years-old. I figured that this primary resource would be invaluable in recalling the details of my family history; thereby enriching a novel based on aspects of my life.

It’s All About The Candy, The Next Morning

I woke up to ear-piercing screams of anguish emanating from one skinny little boy. The heart breaking agony was almost too much to take on the one morning that I had been promised a full night of sleep. All I wanted to do was to roll over and play dead.

I get this line from ReadWriteWeb:
Sandra Foyt is looking for a "better learning/connecting hub". She elaborates: "I want a command center where it's easy to share all kinds of digital media, while being able to chat or microblog. An all in one home base, with Twitter/Flock/Ning/Wiki/Flickr/YouTube elements."

I think you may already have it here at goofy2.com
Contact me if you are interested, the english version is available at beta.goofy2.com
Not much data and users on English site, but you can take a look of the Chinese site, it is the same except the language used on UI
