A Brief History of Thanksgiving

'Way back in about 1620 some Pilgrims came to America from England. Apparently these people didn't know too much about survival or agriculture, either. Many of them starved to death during the first winter. The next spring a friendly, English-speaking Indian came to their rescue, teaching them proper methods of planting, etc. When fall came they had a bounteous harvest. Happy Halloween

It's ghoul day at last. Anyone have big plans for a party or a spectacular costume? I'm going to visit hubby at the home and take along some treats so the grandkids can come trick-or-treating in grandpa's room. I don't do costumes right now. Maybe another year.

Here in Belgium we are not familiar with that , so I don't really know what it is. I hope tp read more about it in the days to come. Is it a comemoration of something, like Christmas for instance?
I do know about turkeys, families getting together, and lots and lots of food, though, I have already gathered that much! Maybe you should make a post on it?
