If you read my blog often, then you know that I don't usually post about the negative things in my life. My blog is suppose to help me escape all that. I do have a little bit of news though.
A few weeks ago, I noticed a lump on the base of my neck. I suspected that it was on my thyroid. If you don't know from following my blog, I've suffered from hyperthyroidism for years and underwent a radioactive iodine treatment in May of this year. Well, I was finally able to have the lump checked out by my specialist on Monday and he confirmed that it is in fact on my thyroid. I am going in a couple of weeks to have an ultrasound and a biopsy. There is a very small chance that it could be malignant.
That's all. I just wanted to let my friends and family (IRL and online) know about what is going on with me. I don't really want to think about it anymore until the day of the test. We have enough stress in our lives right now and there is just no use worrying about it until I find out that there is something to actually worry about.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

All three of my children love to dress up in different hats. We had a hard time finding any fun girly hats that did not have choking hazards for our 22mos old daughter. I came across this felt Strawberry Shortcake party hat while shopping for toys online. My daughter was so thrilled to have it and so was her twin brother. Too bad I didn't get any pictures of that. ;P

With participating in the 2-week long blog party and Thanksgiving, I forgot to post that Jake earned his first black stripe for his yellow belt in taekwon do last week. His studio instructors did not give us a heads up about it, so my husband did not have a camera with him. The picture above is from the day he tested and earned his yellow belt.
We are so proud about how committed our 4yr old is to this sport. It takes so much discipline to learn some of the moves. The latest pattern he learned has 19 moves.

"Hello! My name is Mr. L. T. Bag. I don't get used as often as most
laptop bags, but when they do let me out of that lonely dark closet, I certainly do get to go on some fun adventures. My owner must think very highly of me. He always takes me on the plane with him when he travels. He depends on me to carry his ever-important laptop, but also he crams all my pockets full of random things. I have carried anything from snacks to toiletries to magazines. I love going on these adventures, but sometimes I think my owner doesn't consider my feelings at all. Tell me the truth, my leather is starting to stretch and look saggy, isn't it?"

He is thankful for
His twin brother and sister.
Isn't that too sweet?
He also said that
He is thankful for his cool
Red Christmas stocking.

These are the things I am most thankful for this year . . .1) My husband who is loving and works so hard both at work and at home.
2) My 3 smart and wonderful children who are caring little people with big hearts.
3) Having a roof over our heads and food on the table for 3 meals everyday.
4) My parents who have helped us through some very tough times.
5) Our old Beagle and our kitty cats who are always genuinely happy to see us.
6) My sister and BIL who are a wonderful aunt and uncle to my children.
7) My son's teachers for making him excited about learning.
Of course there is much more, but those things are at the top of my list. What is on your list this year?
