About Me:: I am 34, married to the greatest guy (D) and we recently moved from the south (MS - I lost everything in Katrina) to the Pacific Northwest (well initially to Vancouver WA and now in Portland OR, yes all since April of 2007). We are both college educated and like to get our book learnin on but we are, by trade, truck drivers. We have driven together and separately for many years before but we recently started new jobs (together, of course) working on the inside of a trucking company. So far, so good but it's been less than a week so who knows what can happen.

We lost our only son, Jackson, about a month after his birth in September of 2006. He died from systemic MRSA which I have, as well. Not long after we moved to the PNW we had an unplanned pregnancy that ended in miscarriage and with D getting a vasectomy for his birthday (we already knew that further children would meet the same fate as Jackson).

All in all the last two years have been a wild ride but NaBloPoMo came at just the right time because things, they are finally starting to look up. Way up.
