The Post In Which I Give Up On The Theme!

Honestly, I just can't do voices. I liked letters, I wish I had been around for lists, but voices has beaten me.

Every idea I come up with falls under two categories: 1) Cute things my kids have said and 2) depressing "look inside yourself" kind of posts. I'm not big on either and frankly, my kids aren't that cute. The Voice Of Panic

Around 1:30 in the morning I heard our generator grind to a shuttering halt. Not good. Luckily Number One Son was still awake. Surprise, surprise. He went out into the night and climbed the fire escape stairs up to the roof to find the cause of the problem. Out of gas. Strange. La Voz

According to freetranslation.com, the title of my post is The Voice in Spanish. On Cinco de Mayo, what else could I call my post?

I was born and raised in Arizona. I've heard Spanish my whole life. In high school and college I took French and this past year I have been trying to learn Hindi, but something always stopped me from learning Spanish. I wouldn't want to know a language that might be useful to me in my everyday life, now would I?

The Voice Of Reason

In my life I often ignore the voice of reason. Today it is telling me that I have other, more pressing things to do than to come up with a clever post about voices. Today, in honor of May's theme, I will listen to that voice and go spend the time I would normally spend blogging, with my family. I hope you will forgive me and stop by tomorrow to see what I have come up with after I have quieted the voice of reason.

Bedtime Voices

Please keep two things in mind when reading this post. First, that my kids range in age from 5 to 17 and second, that I heard all of these things in one night.

I'm thirsty.

I'm hungry.

I'm scared.

How long 'till my birthday?

How long is 7 months?

I want to watch a movie.

I don't like sharing a room with them.

When can I have my own room?

How many testicles does a man have?
