These are things i can be thankful for today. Looking back (not even a week!) my birthday turned out pretty good. Since i wanted it to be low key and kick back (and it was) i was happy. Saw the new James Bond movie but it didn't compare to the last one so it was a bit of a disappointment as was the Bond Song i usually look forward to. Or maybe the last one featuring Chris Cornell was so awesome that this one with Alicia Keyes and Jack White didn't have a chance.

so i guess you can use the word 'thanks' in a totally non-appreciative way as well. though only an extremely pissy person would do such a thing. i know you've NEVER heard it yourself being surrounded by only nice, pretty, happy, just people, right?

or maybe i have it all wrong and we can stop talking about thankfulness.

hmmmm. this might be difficult. see, on the outside i'm thankful for lots of stuff. having a decent stable job, a nice house to live in, the ability to pay my bills. on the inside i'm a little more cynical than that. over the past several years things have happened to sort of tarnish my normally sunny optimism in life and i'm basically working on not being such a bitch about stuff. stuff that doesn't really matter, or won't in a hundred years. it's difficult at times.
