Vitamins as Supplements, Not as Replacements

I am not a nutritionist or a nutritional consultant, but I do feel I know enough about food in layman's terms to write about it. I also find myself being queried by others and I answer to the best of my abilities. I have been making a slow gradual change towards eating "off the grid" for most of my short life. But there is one area I just can't seem to convince people on: vitamins.

Today is a no-brainer

Happy 4th of July! Today is the day we celebrate the birth of our country while loading up on all things grilled and as many different salads containing the miracle known as mayonaise. Then we end it all with pie and fireworks. Sounds good to me.

Food, glorious, food

I'm sure other people will say this, but I am going to jump on the bandwagon:

I love food.

I has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. Some of my fondest memories are of being in the kitchen with my maternal grandmother learning how to make something. She was certainly not the most patient teacher, but she instilled in me a love and a respect for making things from scratch. Her trial by fire lessons prepared me for becoming a chef.
