Having a kid gave me a reason to quit what had become an increasingly corporate job and gave me some time to rebuild myself from the inside out. Which makes me sound like I’m some sort of bionic woman or something, which I'm not. Though come to think of it, that would be cool. No more baby monitor! I could hear a peep from down the street. No more back pain! I could tote two tots without throwing out my back. And with legs that never tire? I could sleep standing up, keeping my baby blissfully vertical, which is apparently how he likes it best.
But I don't have any super powers—just the desire to find the connections between peace, community, and motherhood. And sanity.
At Mama-Om, I write about peaceful parenting, how cute and funny my kids are, how loud and crazy-making my kids are, and about what I learn from my many mistakes.
Shaun said totally remembers both you and your husband! When he reminded me of your story, I can remember him telling about the two of you and how wonderful everyone thought it was that the two of you ended up together!
