One Month

We're a month into President-Elect Obama's transition. Nothing he has said or done to date comes as any big surprise. In my estimation, he is demonstrating that he is who he said he was, for those of us who paid...

Moving On...

There are good things and bad things about so much time away from one's blog. The good includes...well, time away from one's blog. The bad things, though, compound like monthly credit card interest until it becomes difficult to just dive...

Happy Turkey to All

Here's wishing each of day full of love and cranberry sauce, and a life full of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving!

Here we go!

Trying the NaBloPoMo challenge for November - my third consecutive year. Thanksgiving always mucks me up, but I like to play along anyway because the act of attempting to post on a daily basis never fails to get my juices flowing. Especially if said juices have been a bit stagnant.

So...here we go! Again!

An Ode

Thirty posts hath November,

which comes to one per day,

with nary a word written worthy to remember:

it's the grand old NaBloPoMo way.

November is ending, and so, too, the event,

and not one single moment too soon.

Had this day not come, you couldn't prevent

me from poking my eyes out with a spoon.

But even though it was a challenge, and I often stumbled

just wondering where to begin;

and though harsh daily complain…

Is this thing on?

I'm trying to decide if I have the mental capacity to maintain a page here and my blog, too. Especially with the posting every single day bit. But when I click over here and see a virtually blank page with no virtual friends, it makes me, I don't know, what's the non-ethnic word for verklempt? Anyone?

Hey - I searched for "Carolina" in groups and nothing came up - the group is spelled North Caroilna! There also wasn't a link to join, that I could see, anyway. I still haven't gotten the hang of this ning thing even though I'm a member of several groups.

I don't mean to jump in with a bunch of negativity! But thought you might wanna know.

In Indian Ocean Creole, it would be "pope jab", but that's ethnic, too, and really obscure, so no help at all.

I was drawn to your page because I have a daughter named Jennifer who lives in North Carolina. I'm on the other side of the planet, so any chance to feel close is nice. Thanks for that.

feeling alone on here? amid all of our equally introspective, near-reclusive, extrovert compatriots? say it isn't so! [grin]
