This is it!

Well, blogging every day has been easy. Writing 50,000 for Nanowrimo has not. I made it half way....pooh!

Actually, though, in the scheme of things it has been great. It forced a story out that was stuck. I have uncovered research material I did not know was available. Letters and journals! Woo Hoo! And people from the past (govenrment people no less) willing to share information on past events that will be so helpful for building my story. So, my novel continues.

Migraine Aaaaah!

I am just recovering. Anyone suffer from migraines? I once saw a magazine ad for some migraine drug (which I can't take because all ergimines do bad things to me) and it had a picture of a lady in an office and she is lying on the floor with a bolder on top of her. Children's trashed rooms

Last year, I saw or read something about a mom who kept asking her teen to clean her room up and the teen refused. So, the mom, in frustration [and insanity] collected everything off the floor, photographed the items and then put everything in a big box. She then put it up on e-bay and sold it for $500!! Ha ha! I thought that was hilarious!

County Commissioners stupid Library comments

Can you believe this? Our tiny community just built a larger library. A request was made for two additional part time staff. The library has had the same number of staff for seven years. One of our three commissioners said,

No way

Sigh. there is just no way I am going to reach 50,000 words by Nov 30. I am so dissappointed! At least I am writing, though. this whole nanowrimo jump started my novel and it is in full gear even if I can't make the deadline.

So, my granddaughter spent most of Thanksgiving week at her sisters where she had free reign over her sweets consumption. When she came back home to our house, not one of her pants fit her anymore. Not one pair out of 10 that were bought for her the end of July. I…
