Added a post Nov 25 2007

Still going strong. I post every day, so no prob ... or would that be SoNoPro4NaBloPoMo? Since this is my first year here, I'm wondering what happens on Dec 1. Does everyone just pack up and go ho... Read More »

Do I need to decide what my blog is about?

Added a post Nov 23 2007

Since I write three professional, topic-focused blogs, my personal blog is a release valve for all the stuff I have left when I've published 1500 to 2000 words or so, but am not feeling done. I'm a... Read More »

How Does Your Foot Taste?

Added a reply Nov 10 2007

Sorry. REALLY bad day. Murdered friend's funeral had me a bit tetchy. And the 'well connected' comment was a jab. It seems to me that a parenting style that treats kids like accessories transcend... Read More »

A whole new adoption-related site!

What a difference a couple of months make, and the last couple have seen the birth of a whole new adoption-related community ... the first of its kind! Adoption Under One Roof, OURadopt.com as been created and designed as a place where all views, all angles, everyone, can meet and exchange information, hash out differences ... or not ... and set the scene for real changes, real reform to the world of adoption. All INclusive, we welcome all into…

What a difference a month makes ...

I'm still here, but why? I'm posting every day on my personal blog, and now looking for work after having my contract suddenly and inexplicably terminated by Adoption.com, a circumstance I never would have predicted at the beginning of NaBloPoMo, but a lot can happen in a month even when you're busy posting blogs. For the moment, most of my work is happening on Paradise Preoccupied.

Yes, I just saw your post. Diana, Iowa Avenue's dietitian, is a wonderful person, very educated and wants to help. I'm sure that as soon as she sees it, she'll try to do everything she can. Twigs and bark might work for a little while, but are definately not sustainable................................:)

You're welcome at Iowa Avenue anytime. If you have any nutrition related questions, we do have a resident dietitian who will be very happy to answer any of them. I look forward to seeing you there..................:)

LOL................You're right, I'm still a youngster at 49. In fact, over the holidays, I helped my father celebrate his 75th birthday by reminding him that his oldest daughter would be 50 next year. He just looked at me and said, "Wow, I'm getting old."

I just started looking around your site, and will do a lot more of that. Health issues are popping up all over the place for me right now and I need to educate myself.

Hi Sandra -seeing as I am in Melbourne you would not see my wave so I thought I would message you instead :-) Living in the Seychelles sounds wonderful - I had a school friend who came from there and I remember being fascinated by the place. I think I had better more of your blog to find out more.

Hi Sandra: Thanks for visiting A Wild Ride. I love your site with the cool (literally) photo of the white wine and serene background. It's in the low 30's here but the picture looked so refreshing to me.
Say, what is your professional site? I would love to check that out too since we often post links on A Wild Ride. Cheers, Elizabeth

Can't help you there, I'm afraid. Need for sun is exactly the reason we left England and moved to Seychelles. I can't stand the gloomy months of Northern Europe. Warm, sunny days make up for a lot, even a lack of cheese ... most of the time. I do still get a hankering, though.

Sand is not what I need right now, but some sun would do nicely thank you!

Cheese? Want some cheese? I work in a cheese shop, (or how would you call that), so I would be happy to trade yes!
