About Me:: I'm a stay-at-home mom to the sassiest three-year-old girl around, and currently very round with a son due in January. My husband of eight years thinks I'm "interesting" and depending on the day I take that as a compliment. I live in the South and spend a lot of time and money at Target. I bake. I sew. I make crafts with my kid. I read a lot. I do yoga and Nia. (I like to think that makes me hip, but I'm really not that hip at all.) I believe in being nice and I also believe in karma. Consider that if you comment on my blog.

Not that long ago, I worked full- and then part-time in a job you've probably never heard of, but my inner science geek still rears her head every now and then. I'm currently taking a year "sabbatical" to gestate and figure out what comes next, and yes, I realize how lucky I am to be able to do that.

I had been waiting for Anne Lamott's latest book, Grace (Eventually), to come out in paperback. That never happened, and my patience wore out, and I sprung for the full price hardcover version. My entire immediate family arrived in town today -- mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and 15-month-old nephew. They are all currently occupying my house until moving to their beach rental tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm expecting plenty of blog fodder out of them over the course of the next week. Hilarity shall ensue.
