- I am a Christian wife and mom who decided this year to stop being afraid of what others might think and just do what I've always been called to do---write.
I started a blog, http://thesurrenderedscribe.blogspot.com/where I share encouragement regarding marriage, parenthood, writing, pre menopause and everything in between!
I'm a recent graduate of the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild under the mentoring of Stephen and Janet Bly. I'm the current facilitator of the Christian Writers Forum Missing Pages Book Club and I'm the Sunday Contributing Blogger for the Forum's blog.
I'm also a member of FaithWriters.com where I participate in their weekly challenges and have my work posted on their free reprint section and FaithReaders.com.
My story about choosing faith over fear was recently published in Lori Wagner's book, Quilting Patches of Life. My story, called Buzzard's Roost, was about our daughter's near death experience and our reaction. The book is available at www.affirmingfaith.com.
I will have two of my writings included in the Spring 2008 release of Women of Passions Anthology by Heart of God International. My story, More than a Drink Coaster will be out late 2008 or 2009 for the Peculiar People Postcard Project. My story, Resurrected Dreams, will be in an upcoming FaithWriters anthology. Lastly, my quote about being buried by a snowplow will be include in Kathy Vick's 2009 gift book release by Howard/Simon and Schuster, Run Like a Girl.

More than all these things I've been married 11 years and we have two children who give us joy beyond words---but I do try to write about it!

I'm glad you like the "Mary" badge. It seems several other people do too. :)
The comments here can be confusing... there's the comment "wall" (this) and comments that can be left under each picture, then comments that can be left on individual posts... Lotsa comment places to keep up with!
