Revolving Door

Catching up on daily photos plus some random stuff. The new bed? FANTASTIC. I love it so much I would legally marry it if it weren’t for certain closed-minded legislators in this great nation of ours. I slept great, and so did Dan. Also, am I the only moron out there who didn’t know that California King [...]

Speaking of Blue

Blue is the predominant shade in yesterday’s daily photo: Blue is also the color of our new (to us) minivan, a 2005 Honda Odyssey. We knew this day was coming soon, and when we found the right used van for us, we went for it. I’m not happy about having another bill; if you want to know [...]

But I’m Blue, Just Blue

I know this is a petty thing to bitch about, but I want a bed. My kind of bed: an enormous, king-sized bed. About this I am an unabashed, spoiled princess who probably needs a spanking but that would require interacting with me long enough to get close to my crabby ass. Here’s the thing: one [...]

Day 6: Watermelon Colored Days

Today was its usual trip through chaos, with kid drop-offs and pick-ups (note to self: summer day camps seem like a good idea but truly are not for my younger, non-joiner kids.) I have all of this shit I need to get done and feel like I’m spinning around and around from thing to thing [...]

Too long for twitter, too short to call an actual entry

The nagging progression: “Honey, where does this tool (left sitting on the half door at the top of the stairs for over a week) belong? Oh, in the tool box in the basement? Can you make sure it gets put away because a giant chisel-looking thing plus three boys is just disaster waiting to happen.” One week [...]

Because I know a brilliant idea when I see one

While falling instantly in love with Aimee's blog, Greeblemonkey, I noticed that she's doing a daily dose of gratitude in addition to her daily NaBloPoMo posts. I'm going to spread the positive energy around and do the same in my blog, even going so far as to retroactively add some gratitude going back to the 1st. Thanks for the inspiration, Aimee!

That's okay, Dee. After this past weekend I think I can drink for the both of us. Wishing you an effortless, blissed-out pregnancy.

Ah, yes. Potty training does indeed require alcohol. Unfortunately I can't partake right now. I have only 5 months to get this one out of diapers before the next one arrives!

Aimee - No, we're not in Colorado, though we almost moved there. We love the mountains, adore Denver (and have several good friends there & in the San Luis Valley), and hope to rent a summer home out that way eventually.

Lynda - Thanks! I'm pretty sure it's a llama, but not positive. He was by the side of the road near Salida, Colorado.

Loved your llama photo... or is that an alpaca? Either way, love the camelid.
