50,000

I tried NaNoWriMo one year, and just couldn't do it. Turns out I don't really enjoy writing fiction. I like reading it, but writing it just isn't my cup of tea.

NaNoSweMo is an idea I can get behind. 50,000 words is the goal for NaNoWriMo. 50,000 stitches for NaNoSweMo, knit a sweater/jumper in a month.

In my most recent incarnation of knitting, I've learned some things about these four stages.

I've learned there are different ways… Continue

Ow.

Today I exercised for the first time in about 4 months. Since having an operation on my finger (2 months out of action), dental surgery (2 weeks out), and a trip to Australia (6 weeks out including recovery time!), meaning sometime in early August. I overcompensated for my lack of activity by attempting to go at least my usual speed. I got a wee bit out of breath, which wasn't a big deal. Now it's 4 hours later, and I'm starting to stiffen up. Attempting to achieve all of this weekend's activit… Continue
