The pumpkins are at the curb, waiting to be tossed into the back of the garbage truck. It seems sad in a way...they sat by my doorstep for weeks adding colour to the landscape. Then I spray painted 2 of them a glossy ivory/white and they looked sophisticated and elegant. Two were cut and carved and held their candle glow to entice the ghosts and goblins to my door for their tricks and treats. The morning after Halloween...the left over candy in the bucket (and what's been picked over by the men in the house...which is left for me!!), wrappers youngest son has left on the computer table...the old (now) pumpkins sitting on the bench, looking forlorn, asking "is that all there is?" ... yes my friends, that's all there is...oh well, there is the garbage truck ride tomorrow morning...you won't have to sit on the bench looking wizened and sad...

Ah yes, it's that time of year again. Mid term reports are out and it's time to meet the darling's teachers. Oldest son always loved this time of year. Loved having us go in to meet his teachers, wanted us all to know one another. He loves learning. Youngest son?
