About Me:: For the most part, I'm your average Joe. I've been married for sixteen years and still enjoy spending every moment I can with my wife. I have two beautiful daughters. I work for a living but don't live for my work. I have a mortgage and a car payment. I mow the lawn and take out the garbage. I kill the creepy-crawlies that have the misfortune of wandering into our home. I watch football on Sundays. Sometimes I go to church. I own a kick-ass grill. I like cake.

So what makes me me? I'm a food and drink snob...I love great food, strong coffee, good microbrew, and fine wine. I love to laugh and my favorite sound in the whole world is the laughter of my family...especially a good belly-laugh from my wife! I enjoy creating as well as being inspired by movies, music, books, theater, and art. I'm a singer-songwriter, but few have heard my stuff. I'm also a procrastinating perfectionist, which may explain why few have heard my stuff. I have a tendency to root for the underdog and get misty-eyed when good things happen to good people. I believe that life is as precious as it is short, and that it should be lived to its fullest. If I can pass that on to my girls, I will consider my life a success.

Quitters Never Win...

One afternoon a couple of weeks ago, I was helping Kailey with her homework. Like probably most kids her age, Kailey has good days of doing her homework and lazy days. Fortunately, she has more good days than lazy ones. But when the lazy ones hit, they are doozies. She is usually overly tired and the homework seems to require a little more thought than your average, run of the mill addition or subtraction worksheets. The Heat IS On

It finally turned cool here in Southern AZ just before Thanksgiving, cool being in the upper 60's/lower 70's and sunny. It's the perfect weather, in my humble opinion, but it was short lived. The past two days have been cold, cloudy, and downright gloomy. They've been the kind of days where all you want to do is lay in bed and pull the covers over your head, which is pretty much all I did yesterday, minus the bed and the covers. I napped in the chair.
