I am a self-taught artist, specializing in horse and animal portraits. My background is primarily in Thoroughbred racing, for which I still hold a passion. I also train dogs professionally, both basic home obedience and competitive work. On the other side of the planet (or my brain), I have a BSc in Food Science with a minor in Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals, which I use primarily to annoy my friends!

Help! Technical Difficulties!

So, here I'm rushing around trying to get everything done today - I dash off a painting only to find out our internet connection is toast! So my friend rigs up his Rogers stick, I have a temporary connection...and Blogger's site won't load! Everything else will. So does this post count for my posting every day? :-D I'm just going with it, though I will keep trying Blogger! It would be a shame to not "qualify" for NaBlo because of things beyond my control! I have added some horses to my page. My daughter shows horses and saves them from being mistreated or destroyed. She loves horses.

Have you ever heard of a retired jockey named Ray Landing from St Louis who raced at Fairmont and Cahokia. He is part of a triad of best friends of which I am one. After he retired, he started working in the lassics (SP) barn and still loves horses. (harses as we call them) He was afraid of these animals in high school although he did help move the riding ponies once in a while.

Hi Linda,

I taught @ Myrddin for years! LOVED it, had a blast. Will prob open my own school when I get home -- tis the plan anyways -- we'll see if I can pull it off! hahaha maybe that'll be the next blog!

You should def try eventing! It's a blast -- there's nothing like the feel of a solid XC round.
