tomorrow they close our office. today we're losing phones and internet connection, so it'll be the last time i can look at this stuff in broadband bliss.

starting manana, it's back to herkity-jerkity dialup and no paycheck. it's going to be a great month!

At 8:46am on October 11th, 2007, Kathryn said…: Wow, that's a tough one. Most folks still think I'm crazy when they hear where I come from but for me it was easy. I enjoy the changing weather (after twenty years, I still marvel every time it snows) and I love the change of seasons. If your boyfriend is outdoorsy it's a harder sell. I'm more urban--I'm crazy about the architecture and cultural offerings Chicago has to offer. I think it's a great town for foodies too, with a tremendous diversity in food/restaurants. Having grown up near the ocean, Lake Michigan is a definite plus. There's nothing like the ever-changing light on a huge expanse of water to restore the soul. Good luck to you!
