Woa! It's that time of year already?
I've been in training for NaBloPoMo this year, and this time no all nighter party is going to keep me from posting. The posts may be short. They may be long. They will probably make no sense and they will definitely be random. But they will be posted my 11:59pm Pacific Time (Standard or Daylight savings depending on what part of the month we're in) everyday of the Month of November 2007.

Yes, we live in Northern Wisconsin and even though our growing season is never long enough for me, we have a pretty successful go at it. Just this year, we built a 18x51 high tunnel or hoophouse and we are hoping that will allow us to extend our growing season by at least a month on each end. We just planted lettuce, swiss chard, collards, kale and parsley starts, so we are hoping to be able to eat off of that well into winter. We are actually heading to Madison this weekend for the State golf tournament that our daughter is playing. What a great town - very local, small farmer friendly with lots of great co-ops and farmer's markets.

Join the group, I say. It doesn't matter that you don't currently farm, although it sounds like you are doing some 'farming' with taking care of other people's produce which is a great thing.
