Powerless

We've had a lazy weekend, today being no exception. Irish has been a bit under the weather, and he's needed the break. I don't mind being lazy with him.

Who am I kidding? I don't mind being lazy all alone.

This afternoon around 12:30 he was in his office messing around on his bass, downloading some stuff on the internet and watching a horror movie. I was in the living room watching Veronica Mars Season 1 on DVD and clipping coupons. We are a family of multitaskers.

Beauty School Follow Up

I went to the beauty school this morning for my appointment. I had trouble finding it (they're actually moving to a new location June 1 for that very reason) but I got there promptly at 9:30.

I was introduced to my stylist, Claudia. We looked at some pictures and talked about the length I wanted (only an inch to inch and a half shorter, trimmed bangs and some long layers), then she led me over to the wash basins.

Annoyance

Before I came to work at the place where I work now, I worked in a few different insurance agencies. They were all very specialized programs, however, and none of them were in Florida.

I was hired on here to do marketing. Marketing in insurance is not your typical marketing in the rest of the world.

Beauty School Drop In

I’m not a prissy, primpy girl. It’s never been my thing to be dressed to the nines, perfectly coifed and spit-polished. I’m mostly the wash-and-go type.

I do, on occasion, like to get a mani-pedi, and three or four times a year I get my hair cut and styled. If I’m feeling crazy I will even get my eyebrows waxed.
