out of the computer screen

Grace in Small Things: Part 26 of 74

1. getting up early enough that I don’t have to rush to get Kaylie to school in the morning; related: the fact that Kaylie was disappointed that she was 9 minutes early rather than right on time 2. the dude with the California plates who was driving with his head out the window because he obviously [...]

1. a lunch out with my husband of four years (FOUR!) and our youngest daughter 2. the first bite of a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone 3. stripey kid tights 4. not having to take the bus 5. falling asleep BEFORE midnight Grace in Small Things is a social network that Schmutzie created to wage a battle against embitterment.

Grace in Small Things: Part 24 of 74

1. the many, many soldiers who fought so that we could sleep safe in our beds at night (this is not exactly a SMALL thing, just deserves mentioning today) 2. the sound of a diaper-clad toddler running down the hall 3. pancakes 4. big tippers 5. Strongbow Grace in Small Things is a social network that Schmutzie created to wage [...]

awkward parenting moment

Kaylie: “Can boys have babies?” Me: “No.” *pause* Kaylie: “But who asks who if they want to marry them?” Me: “The boy.” Kaylie: “Is that a law or something?” Me: “No.” Kaylie: “So sometimes the girl can ask the boy to marry them?” Me: “Yes.” Related: WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! At least we avoided the “Where do babies come from” topic for now. [...]

Oh, cool! When we lived in FL I had a home daycare and was working on getting my license - only lasted a few months though, until my son got the chicken pox and everyone pulled their kids out! Funny thing was that they had all been exposed so they got it anyway... oh well!
