About Me:: i'm a SAHM (why are we called that? I mean, who reeeeally stays at home?!) of FIVE (did you feel the tilt of the earth's axis go just a little off with the last birth? I did!). There's four boys and the last, Her Highness "K". And before you congratulate me on "finally having that girl", don't. It gets under my skin. I mean really, I had four great boys and all anyone could ever say was "are you going to keep trying for a girl?" as if they were all defective. So, no, we didn't TRY, but were pleasantly rewarded for an afternoon of fun :-)

You can type any word any way you like and I'll love you as you are - not a problem. I just wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't picking on you with my post.

If I am not typing with a beast attached to my leg, or fending grubby little fingers off the keyboard, I'm typing long past the time I should be in bed. If I started worrying about spelling, grammer or punctuation, this whole blog thing would become yet another burden in my life. So, no offense taken, but don't expect changes. :-) (assume I'm illiterate and love me as I am). Also, since you're (hey, that's where that one belongs!) a word person...my last name isn't Grockle... It's a British word, I am one of many Grockles here :-)

While reading your blog these last few days, I kept coming across a word I didn't recognize. (winge) From your context, I concluded it must mean whining, bitching, moaning or something close. So while I was there today, I saw it again and I decided to look it up, because it must be some British word you've picked up that I don't know.

But when I went to webster.com, it came up saying it wasn't a word. I thought - ok - what??? Webster.com suggests words when it can't find the one you've typed in, and the first suggestion was whinge, so I clicked it. They even have this cool little audio thingy that pronounces the word for you and this time I clicked it, just to be sure that I was hearing it in my head correctly when I read it (which was part of my confusion at your blog - I didn't know if the g was a g sound or a j sound). Anyway - here is the definition I found:

British : to complain fretfully : whine

No surprise to you, of course. And confirmed for me that I have not totally lost my new word detective skills. :)

So, I wanted to:

a) thank you for teaching me a cool new word today

b) let you know you're missing the 'h' (don't want any Brits picking on you if you ever happen to have the occasion to write it instead of say it while you're there)

c) let you know that you've provided me with my NaBloPoMo blog entry for the day! and I'm totally NOT picking on you and your spelling skills - ok?

d) let you know that I'm a bit of a word geek, in case you hadn't already figured that out by now. :) And that is the motivation for my blog post today (my geekiness - NOT your spelling mistake.)

So ok - mission accomplished - even without email. :)
