So, like, Doug the girls and I spent the weekend in Half Moon Bay for my brother-in-law's wedding.
It was a fabu wedding. Marisa was the flower girl and she was RAD. I hear she was none-too-happy at the rehearsal the day before, which I skipped, but the day of the wedding she was awesome for Bri and Sarah.
They wanted her to walk right in front of Sarah to strew the flowers to which she said,
On Friday Melody let go of the basket she was holding on to and stood there for a few seconds all by herself. I squealed so loud with surprise and joy that two city blocks of windows shattered.
On Saturday or Sunday (gosh, it's only Monday and I can't remember which day!) she stood on her own for what seemed like hours. It was probably only 20 seconds. Then again, 20 seconds in the spotlight
A year ago at 12:34 am, the time it is right now, my belly was so big and I was 13 days overdue. I skipped a party at my in-laws so I could stay home and fret over when you were going to come out and meet us.
In just 25 short minutes the contractions would start and you would find your way into the world a few hour later.

(We want more kids, but I'm an admitted failure at the best-sleeping-practices thing which makes life a bit rough, what with the sleeping craziness here at times.)
Just when I said, as I prepped a bottle for bed...
Oh well, she might wake up every night for a bottle for the rest of her life. What's so bad about that?
