Yes Providence is next door. The other clinic option is Mostellar in Bayou La Batre...it's a little over half an hour away, not sure what their policies are but my brother has gone there before without insurance. Or American Family Care on Montlimar Drive. It's a walk in clinic. They charge like $80 or $90 though, just to be seen.
I know all about that. I had my menstral cycle cut off via progestin suspension therapy, however being broke I haven't been able to get the shot so I'm praying that my uterus doesn't explode.
I don't know of anything free, but there are some low cost options out there. If you are employed without insurance, you can go to Victory Health Partners and pay like $35. They might give you prescriptions free of charge if they have them, but they don't do narcotics. It's run by a Christian doctor. I don't have the number but they are in the phone book.
If you have to go to the emergency room, go to Providence. They don't turn anyone away.
No clue what's going down on the 9th yet. I have bad tests on the 5th, but I should be getting around fine by the 9th. I'm still spending a lot of time in bed, not getting out much. And broker than broke.
Heeeeeeeey are you doing NaBloPoMo this year??? I didn't know about it until recently, otherwise I probably would have participated before. I'm jumping in on November 1st!
