Phew.

We have surved yet another trip to the vet. For those who aren't familiar with my dog, Nellie, let me explain: she lives in a scary, scary world. We adopted her at 2 years old and she'd never lived with people before, let alone inside. The stairs were scary, the doors were horrifying, and not being able to escape our home had her paralyzed with fear. Honey, I'm home!

He is finally back from the business trip that's kept him in Seattle since last Saturday morning. I'm glad that now I don't have to be a single dog-mommy any more (being the only one to give walks is brutal during the working week). But, I'm even more glad to know that tonight his toes will be keeping my toes warm in bed. No one should have to sleep alone on a chilly Massachusetts eve.

While I am currently gainfully employed at a large company, I recently began circulating my resume just to test the waters. I am not enormously dissatisfied in my current job (just the usual gripes - TPS reports, etc.), but in the future it may not work for us for geographic reasons. Not that I have to justify circulating my resume - anyone should do it every now and then, in my opinion. But I digress .....

HGTV's Next Project

There is this house in my neighborhood that sticks out like a sore thumb. It was a beautiful victorian at one point in time, not unlike all the other beautiful victorians in the surrounding blocks, but it is <span style="font-style: italic;">thisclose </span>to crumbling to the ground.
