About Me:: I'm a freelance writer/ blogger, a soon-to-be-new mom, photographer, and wife. I'm also a huge geek and proud of my dorkiness (most of the time). I have a crippling addiction to books and technology, especially gadgets. And since I don't have enough to do, I signed up for NaBloPoMo and am considering NaNoWriMo - all during the month my child is due. I just *might* tend to overbook myself a little.

so THAT'S what a contraction feels like

Trying to post, but my site is giving me fits right now. Not sure what's going on. Usually my host is ultra reliable. Guess I should take a lesson from Mir and make sure my backups are in order.

I quit!

Today was my last day of work. I am officially on maternity leave.

The baby could come anytime within the next two weeks (even three), but I'm trying to convince him that mommy needs at least a few days off to rest before he joins us. Think that'll work?

Back for more

Last year, I participated in NaBloPoMo and I'm back for seconds! For me, this project is much more manageable than NaNoWriMo -- although I'll probably try it again, too. I'll be marking a milestone during the month of November, but I don't know exactly when.

I'll be a new mom. I'm nine months pregnant and counting down my last three weeks. I think I'll have a lot to talk about! I also just turned 34 (two days ago) and I think this is going to be a good year for my writing, and for perso…
