and then i read your post about int'l crime ring based in the netherlands etc. and i was like dude. i can't believe you were alerted in such an official way, and then i can't believe there are such utter weirdos out there. i try to be super careful about what kind of pictures i put up of my friends' kids (and i only post them if the parents have child-related websites themselves), but that post is just making me think that i should avoid internetted pictures of children altogether.

sometimes i wish i didn't know these things about the world.

also, and relatedly, i've noticed that the majority of hits to my blog are from people googling "naked" and/or "gnomes", because of an anecdote i wrote where there were prostitutes and gnomes in this village in the czech republic.

anyway, i hope they are disappointed when they arrive at my decidedly non-naked website and have an opportunity to think about what they're doing.
