National Blog Posting Month
In case you didn’t know, there are a lot of verses in the Bible about anger. For my anger management homework this week (actually, my counselor thankfully gave me two weeks), I was to look up 35, yes thirty-five, of them! Following are a few that really hit home for me on how NOT to deal with anger:

I have been struggling recently with the desire to go back to work. Not that I want to work, per se, but I reazlied I am craving the satisfaction you get from a job well done … and noticed. My daughter had a blast handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters yesterday. She was a little afraid of the those who were “a scary one,” but for those she knew, she would put the candy in the bag. It was nice enough that we were able to hang out in the front yard and play in the leaves while we waited. She would practically screech she was so excited when she saw anyone coming. I dare say it’s more acceptable to say “Happy Halloween” these days than “Merry Christmas!”
The woman who sat next to me at church on Sunday was wearing an orange sweater with jack-o-lanterns on it. Nothing evil or offensive, obviously, but it bothered me. It did. It just proves to me how acceptable Halloween has become even among Christians. I know only a handful of people who, like me, have opted not to celebrate.
