I love the connections! I think about the curvy way women connect and reconnect and overlap and cycle back around in their friendships. I've looked at a couple of guy's blogs here and I can't help but wonder at the difference. There are fewer of them in this NaBlo challenge (network?) and their posts/pages/comments seem so much more staccato. I don't want to be all stereo-typey because my statistical sample is clearly small and random - but every connection I make, every layer that circles back around to me makes me so happy to be a blogging woman! I think it's all kinds of fun that you and I almost swapped places in our moves. You'll have to give me some tips on happening places to hang out! Peace.

Owning a knit shop is great (fantastic customers, get to choose gorgeous fibers, meet famous knitters etc) but it's hard to find time to knit your own stuff! I peeked at your quilt and man! Fantastic! (I think t-shirts are challenging to work with!) You are a brave, jump in and do it kind of gal. I'm a much bigger chicken! I look forward to seeing more of your quilts. And if you ever happen to want to go on a quilt retreat to Costa Rica - let me know! I've been seriously daydreaming about getting a group together for one of Jennifer's retreats. (She started the quilt bloggers group so check out her link if you haven't already.) I can't do it anytime soon - but dreams have to start somewhere, eh? Peace.

Hey! Welcome to the quilting bloggers' group!

I love it that there are still people joining our little group, and even more than that I love that when I visit their (your) blogs I see people I can relate to!

Nice job on your first quilt, by the way :)

Both Shannon and Round Is Funny sent me notes of welcome and inclusion when I joined the Queer Parents group wondering if I fit in. I'd like to pass it on and say welcome to you! Also, I have worked as a nanny, owned a knit shop, and am from Nashville, TN (that's close to Atlanta :D) - so with those surface points of interest in common with you (sort of) I will look forward to reading your blog! Peace.

You had multiple monkeys?? Wow! We had 3 at one point, but they were hurting each other so that had to end quickly. Wow, you might have me beat in crazy family-ness. I used to live in Atlanta too by the way!
