Exotic Garden

Here it is! This is the result of a fiber art project I’ve been involved in since last May. It’s a collaboration, done by myself and five other artists. Our group was one of three and we worked under the expert direction and with the support of arlee barr through a Yahoo group. The [...]

Beginning Again

Time to look forward! I’m brimming with ideas and creative urgency. I know I can’t/won’t get it all done but while things are percolating, I want to get some of it down. I began a short story yesterday. It’s an idea that came to me over the holidays which, in and of itself, is something [...]

Looking back

Time for review! I got away from blogging and even writing for The PCQ last year. I do not feel apologetic about it however. That’s because 2008 was one of the most successfully creative and full of my life. One of the reasons for this is collaboration. Two of the projects that took a [...]

About Me:
I write novels every November and throughout the rest of the year either finish, re-write or edit them along with writing poetry and short stories. I also publish, edit and write a webzine called The Practically Creative Quarter which has its own ning network: Being Practically Creative. We need YOU over there!

My other creative interests are painting (or any other kind of art), photography (I'm "nuanc" on flickr), quilting, and piling up bits of raw materials to use at some future point in time for some yet-to-be-determined brilliant crafts projects. I am a retired psychiatric nurse, got married for the second time six years ago and have two grown sons and a two-year-old granddaughter.

My Webzine and Blog

Hi,
I have a webzine/blog called The Practically Creative Quarter that you might like. It's purpose is to "explore the creative process, increase creative productivity and enjoy the creative life."

Chronicled and Illustrated is my personal blog. This month it's all about NaNoWriMo and the writing process. Since this is my sixth year doing Nano, and I've accrued a bit of experience, I've started doing little *Tips from Nuanc* graphics for my blog posts. I also post them to flickr and the nanowrimo group there. As you'll see, I don't take myself or my tips very seriously.

Being Practically Creative

I haven't been around or even been blogging since early December. I think that doing it everyday in November thing took a lot out of me! I was doing NaNoWriMo as well, so yeah, November was a blur. I always find I can get more done when I have more deadlines. In that way, January was a creative bust. Oh well. I did do one thing. I started my own Ning network.

Check it out: Being Practically Creative. It's an addition to my webzine,… Continue

Fun! I'm one of the least creative people I know. Maybe I can learn something. If not, I'll at least enjoy your pictures ;)

Well, Sherry, I needed some weeks where no one but me read my blog. Now that I'm into it, I'm ready for prime time viewership!
