moving into the new master suite! Woo freaking hoo!
Ten months after demolition of the garage, the master suite is complete. The kitchen, family room and "bonus room" should be ready for occupation by Saturday.
Minor (in the scope of things) other projects will continue for the next 4-6 weeks. But yesterday was a major milestone in our lives.

Means 18 weeks of long runs. This week will be a 10 miler. My life over the next 18 weeks will be consumed with my weekly total mileage, how well I am following Hal Higdon's intermediate I marathon training program. I have tweaked it a bit to add a mid week tempo run or a mid week speed session on alternating weeks.
Last week I ran a 15k race, so the 10 miler should be a slam-dunk. Should be. It's always up for debate until the morning of the run. The problems will arise in about 4-6 w…

Be in the new master suite by Sunday?
Anybody want to place bets?
Hubby told me "we will be cooking breakfast in our new kitchen" by November 10. Any takers on this one?

After not even approaching my expectations for a marathon earlier this year at the Napa Valley Marathon, I had told my husband, "no more."
This has been followed by two recently successful races. Now, my mind is ready to assume the challenge yet again. Hubby is fully behind me as he enjoys wine tasting while I am running. It's a good excuse to have a romantic vacation away from the children.
The 18 week training started on Monday.
This time, I shall overcome.
