I'm a "happily retired" educator (and long-time "closeted" writer) finally exploring this virtual world (after being encouraged to do so at a Writers Retreat in Taos, New Mexico in late summer, 2007). I've been blogging for fun and to release my fears of "being known" since late October ... "forcing nothing and holding nothing back" ... wishing I'd taken the plunge long ago.

Thanks for dropping by to comment here. I just got email from a couple of other bloggers who told me they couldn't comment either and when I tested it myself, I can't comment ... but I just published a new post and I have access to other features. I guess Blogger's having some 'issues' this evening. I didn't actually change the comment format on my blog ... it just happened one day and I didn't know what to do about it. It's worked pretty well until now. The only down side is that there's no little box to check to receive follow up comments in email. And now that I've typed this here ... I'm wondering if you'll see it. Maybe I'll go ahead and add the comment, but make a copy to send you in email ... just because.

Okay ... I've done some checking and it seems the 'add a friend' function isn't working at the moment. Hopefully they'll get it fixed sometime soon. When I click 'Add as friend' by your comment below, the screen darkens and the message 'an error occurred' pops up. There's a conversation thread on this topic with MANY comments, but no one has an answer. I'm still wondering how to get my posts to show up in the RSS feed at the left. Sigh!

I've looked around and don't see how to add friends at the moment, but I'll keep at it ... and perhaps someone will take pity on us a leave an answer to the question. It's 'kewl' to know you're here at NaBloPoMo ... and yez, we're probably crazy, but since I've been doing Blog 365 all year ... doing 30 posts in 30 days seems quite doable to me ;--)

Yea! This was my first REAL test to see if I could get back on right away, and I did! What I'm doing now is using the Internet Explorer Browser when I log in here rather than the Mozilla Browser I usually use. Looks like it's going to work :)
