Books

I love reading. I crave reading. I have to read. The last book I read is The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson. It's about the Cholera outbreak in London in 1854. Very good book, interesting and compelling.

Now I am reading Under the Tuscan Sun again. I am going with my son and his art club to Italy next March, so I am rather in the mood to read stuff about and set in Italy. I also have gone so far as to add an Italian word a day to my homepage. So in fifteen or twenty years,…

Today was a fun day...

I had to jump the chain link fence at a local elementary school -- my son is doing an Eagle scout project for the school, so it was totally on the good for jumping the fence...

My son's friend got stuck briefly going back over...Just after I gave him a hard time for being so graceful getting over the fence, I climbed over and got stuck. Yup. Karma bit me right in the ass that time. A tiny little rip in the crotch of my cargo pants and everything.

I too am an avid reader. The past year or so in an effort to get some "culture" here in the backwoods I have been reading classics; "Red Badge of Courage" "Wuthering Heights" "Pride and Prejudice" "The Canterbury Tales" I was surprised at the raciness of "The Canterbury Tales" Didn't know they were so umm...wild back in those days. Ha.
Now I am reading "Wicked-the life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West" Ever read it? The politics are a bit beyond me.
