In 2001, my one-month "Roman Holiday" to take a break between jobs in the US and study Italian in Italy became a way of life after I fell in love with both this city and my husband, who I met the first day I arrived. (It happens when you're not looking!) After stints teaching English as a second language and directing a US university study abroad center, I now manage two tourist apartments in Trastevere... and blog over at my web page about Rome as I see it.
Shelley, did you know you can select a "Roma" theme for your NaBloPoMo page? Under "My Page", click "Edit Page Appearance" and scroll down to the very bottom of the theme list.
I had to laugh when I noticed that the ever-clever Dirty Catholic picked it as her NaBloPoMo page theme...
P.S. You'll be happy to know that I found a place that sells vera Nutella near my house. I'm going to devote an entire blog post to my amazing discovery.
