About Me:: I am a forty something mother of one and step mother of three. I have recently made the change from teaching primary 'special ed' to secondary 'anything they give me'. I believe in assertive parenting. I believe that children 'these days' have not 'changed since our day' that much. I fear that technology is removing the ability of our children to interact effectively. I am addicted to blogging. I understand irony.

What's Happening over at The Flaming Sword?

My blog, 'Now Where Did I Put That Flaming Sword', is dedicated to assertive parenting and my family. I want parents to know that it's OK to 'say no', to make boundaries and to reinforce them with consequences. The sword I speak of is the 'Flaming Sword of Parenthood'.
