How personal do YOU get?

Added a post Nov 21 2007

Ooh, I am very personal but I'm a sex worker, and I write about my experiences in that line of work (erotic massage) so it's hard not to get personal. I do write anonymously, though. For a long tim... Read More »

How do you choose your friends here at Nablo?

Added a post Oct 22 2007

I don't really "friend" either, mainly because I don't have the time to sift through all the blogs here to find one, and somebody, I can relate to. When I do look at blogs, I suppose that I pay le... Read More »

Do I have to blog here?

Hmmm. I'm confused. Why do I have to blog here when I already have a perfectly good, established blog.

I will write a post every day in November, but you'll have to check them all out at my blogspot blog:

How is it being married to an American? I'm at the stage where I'm very, very disillusioned with American men but I am in the South where they are far too traditional and prudish for my tastes (even the liberal, progressive ones seem to end up having elements of that).

I much prefer the men in New York City, though! Yum!

Wow, you haven't been home for such a long time! It's been more than 2 years for me, and I have no plans to go back in the immediate future. It's just so fucking expensive to fly back to Glasgow ($1200 in peak season) and I'd rather spend that money going somewhere I haven't been before. Glasgow's not going anywhere. I do miss my friends, though. I'm planning on moving to NYC at some point and that will be better, as it will be cheaper for me to fly home and people to come and see me.

I'm sorry to hear that you have no chance of getting any Scottish produce where you are. Here it's not too bad actually. There's this supermarket called Fiesta where they have a whole section of British stuff - Tetley Tea Bags (which are totally minging, but they remind me of home, so I'm very fond of them). They also have Lemon Curd, Curly-Wurlies and, hmmmm, loads of other stuff that I can't remember. Oh, they have Irn-Bru! Can you believe it?! I'm actually a vegan, though, so I don't have a typical Scottish diet anyway and can't even eat a lot of that stuff.

Yeah. That's exactly what happened. I came over here for 6 months for a change of scenery (can you blame me, I'm from Greenock?!) and I met him and "stayed to see what would happen". It's been almost 8 years now. I've been back home once and my fam's been over here once too. Last time I was there was 5 years ago.

Where's a Gregg's when you need one?

Hi there, I've managed to post every day - sometimes by the skin of my teeth). Thanks for the hello, always nice to hear from a fellow Scot.

I like your pic and want to be your friend. Yes, interesting avatars get my attention, but then I dig deeper!

Hi! Thanks for your message. I wouldn't say I was a runner yet... only a week into a ten week programme but it's a start! Best of luck for the marathon! I think I'm a long way off from that! :)

Serizy - Its hard to keep on top of so many sites. I joined Facebook recently and got bombarded (in a good way) with all sorts of messages/stuff. I'll pass on this addy though see who turns up.

I'm planning to split my posts between my blog, here, another ning network I joined and I might even post a couple to my myspace and live space accounts (not sure about those two though).

Serizy - cutting and pasting isn't a good idea as the SE's will see duplicate content and they don't like that.

Yes, people down south ARE weird. This was confirmed tonight when I went to an open house for a women's volunteer group. I was the only one in the entire room of about 50 women who was sitting by myself. How pathetic. I can be painfully shy, and couldn't snap out of it tonight, for sure. But the question remains, is everyone else weird (or stuck-up) for having such a hard time saying hello, or am I the weird one? Perhaps a wee bit of both, I suspect.

I have a brother-in-law with dark hair, but he just moved to Switzerland. bugger. I can relate to your sense of failure. I think everyone fears failure to some degree. My fear is that my education is slowly going down the crapper with no "real" job since moving to KY. I miss my friends and family, and am lonely a good part of the day. I think you have a lot in common with people - despite your profession at the moment. And I appreciate your being so honest on your site, since I don't have the courage to on my own.
