For the next week, I will be sipping margaritas on a beach located about one hour south of Cancún. I will not check voice messages. I will not read emails. I will not blog, nor see a computer for the entire seven days. I do hope that, when I return, inspiration will accompany me. …¡Hasta!

About Me:
I graduated from UC Santa Cruz (go Banana Slugs) with a degree in Politics and Latin American Studies. I moved to the California Bay Area and worked as a barista in a fancy coffee shop on the Oakland/Berkeley border. After six months, I decided to make my way to the desert. Since I moved to Santa Fe, I've been waiting tables, freelance writing and drinking way too much. I recently quit my restaurant job(s) in order to pursue other endeavors -- I'm applying to a Latin American Studies graduate program at the University of New Mexico with the hope of working for a human rights organization, a non-profit, or teaching somewhere in Latin America.

I daydream. I drink a lot of water. I am determined and motivated. I feel lost. I love to sleep. I also love Kettle Chips (most flavors), good tequila/margaritas, good wine and good food. I want to travel. I want to dream in Spanish.
