I'd have to say yes, yes I am. You see, I've decided that I need to kick myself out of a writing slump caused by doing so much business writing and not enough creative writing. Sure, the bills must get paid, but the muse has been suffocating in all the marketing lingo, web copy, ad text, how-to catch phrases, gadget write ups, software reviews and technical writing these last few months.
How do I plan to kick start my muse? By putting my writing in over drive. I have decided that in addition to my non-fiction writing, which pays the bills (most of the time), I will be adding both
NaNoWriMo and
NaBloPoMo to the list, posting on both as Geechee_Girl.
Pick your jaws off the floor! I surprised myself with this decision, believe me, but I think upping the ante this year will be beneficial and hone my writing skills. This means in the month of November, you will be able to read me at all of my blogs (links to my AppleGrrl, Writer's Well, Books Without Limits and other blogs are at the bottom of my business page:
BGWE) posting at the usual semi-regular rate. You will be able to read me posting daily to one of my blogs for NaBloPoMo:
Smoke Rings and Coffee Stains. If you are a client, you will be able to read my work for you (and some of you can read my work for clients as well at web sites like
Profy). Plus, you will be able to read my novel excerpts on NaNoWriMo.
What I'm hoping to get out of this hectic month of writing is a new focus that allows me to write better and faster, and a refreshed fiction muse.

See you in November!
