I posted this to my blog yesterday but I forgot to add it here....www.ciaochessa.com
As almost any member of my family would say today "Happy Dun-Gibing!":) Over at my parents' house our turkey is served with a delicious helping of stuffing and rice and beans, along with sweet potatoes and all the other traditional Thanksgiving fare. It's a very Cuban dun-gibing.
And, like I would tell my (favorite) uncle (or,"ankle" - as he would say), who we make fun of simply because of his complex about being from Uruguay, the very tiny neighbor to my dad's Argentina, "jes, we are making fun of your ass-ent" - it's all in good fun, folks.
To add to yesterday's post of things I am thankful for:
a hilarious and very large Latin family, the importance of a good sense of humor and being proud of where I come from.
