Kittens, Undercarriages, and (sorta) Power-Outages

Holycrapmotherfuckin' AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the day went just fine. It was pretty busy.

Here's where it started going to shit:

1. Babydoll and this little kitten came by. I wanted to go see the kitten, 'cause hey, I'm such a sucker for babies. When I walked out, however, the kitten got it in his head to go under my van and hop up into the undercarriage. !!!!!!!!!!O.O!!!!!!!!!! I never did see if he managed to get out, 'cause Virginia, Gary, and I all tried to scare him out, but I don't think that he ever got out before I had to go home, even after starting the car and honking the horn a few times.

2. I ended up having to call Virginia, who was supposed to be on vacation, because something went screwy with the power and the gas pumps went bibbledy. Pump 6 was completely off but oddly enough, Pump 5 on the other side was still on but it wasn't working either. None of the pumps worked for a while.

3. My roommate, Katty, has this lovely habit of planning her weekends and coming home and announcing her plans for going out, which usually means that while she's out having all the fun, we're stuck at home NOT getting to go out, but also having to watch Chloe. Tom already watches Chloe for Katty while she works and then she assumes that we're always going to be agreeable to watching Chloe for her while she goes out every weekend and has fun without bothering to even ask us if WE'D like to go out for a change.

The funny part of that, even as much as it makes me want to tear my hair out is that when it was brought up earlier, Katty said to Tom "Well, if you guys would let me know a couple weeks in advance, we wouldn't have this problem," and Tom's reply to her was, as kindly as possible, "That's a little hard to do when even YOU know that you're always making your plans before we even have an opportunity TO bring anything up."

I don't remember what response that got him, but still.

Not to mention, Katty has yet to pay him for watching Chloe for her as was agreed and while that could be a REALLY touchy subject if brought up, but earlier I guess she was trying to find a way to make it to where Tom and I could go out without having to abandon her plans, and she said she could go half-sies on a babysitter who was probably going to charge each of us $20. That didn't help because I'm not going to have that kind of money left over. I have to make the car payment, pay off the rest of this ticket that I have to take care of lest I get arrested for it, and then what's left is pretty much going to have to go to gas and getting another package of diapers. Even then, considering the fact that she still owes Tom the agreed-upon amount for his watching Chloe, personally I think it'd be only fair if she were to foot the whole bill for the babysitter instead of expecting us to fork over half.

Seriously, though, this has to change. It's not fair for her to have a monopoly on getting to go out and have fun while Tom and I are stuck at home always watching Chloe and then she disappears for the weekends. So, out of the days that I normally have off, that being Fridays and Saturdays, Fridays are about the only day that Tom and I could go out where she could watch the kids for us, but she normally has plans for those and then she's gone Saturday nights at her parents' house. *headdesk* This seriously has to stop. If we could at least trade off Fridays for going out, that'd be great; Tom and I go out one Friday while she watches the kids, she goes out the next Friday while we watch Chloe for her, and then Tom and I again, and etc. and so on. THAT would be fair. And considering how many times Tom and I have watched Chloe for her while she goes out and has her fun, not to mention how much Tom as watched Chloe for her while she works, I think that's MORE than fair.

Not to mention, if she can throw out for other people to watch her kid and go "half-sies" for someone to watch ours, then how come she doesn't have the available moolah to pay Tom to watch Chloe for her?
