And so goes my third November of posting every day. I have to say, this was the easiest NaBloPoMo so far. I didn't stress about what I was going to post and something always came. They all may not have been of extraordinary quality or insight, but good posts went up that might not have otherwise: so. Tomorrow I'll be busy trolling through the network, looking to assign prizes to others who also posted every day, so maybe you won't see me, but maybe you will. Thanks again to everyone who joined me. See you next year?

wha-huh?

In 2006 I started NaBloPoMo as kind of a joke because I'd failed at NaNoWriMo the previous year. I decided that if I couldn't write a novel in thirty days, at the very least I could post on my blog every day for a month. I thought maybe thirty or forty people would do it with me. We ended up with around 2,000 bloggers, I think. In 2007 we moved over to Ning and got almost 6,000 people, and in 2008 we hit the 10,000 member mark. WHERE DID ALL YOU PEOPLE COME FROM?!

The whole thing is run by me with the genius of Ning.I also owe a giant thank you to Temmy for her support at the get-go, to Bryce for the Randomizer, to Jon, and to all the terrific people who have offered prizes.

This is a suggestion for now (if it's easy) or maybe next year (if we can figure it out): could we have a poll at the end of the month so we can see how many people finished, how many missed only one day, and so on? I'm eaten up with curiosity. Of course it would be honor system, but then the whole thing is, right? I thought that might be an easy way to get some rough stats on the outcome of November.

I have not cluttered up the net with drivel, but instead took to serious topics - the seven deadly sins, the seven virtues, oh, and there was an election in there, too. Plus some heavy duty personal stuff. Thanks for putting this thing together. I don't know if I'll play in December, but I have really enjoyed the mental gym-time. Two more to go - one freebie plus one more deadly sin! Whee!
